ISO 1 Rating
The Woodlands Fire Department holds an ISO Class 1 rating, the highest designation awarded by the Insurance Services Office. This elite rating reflects excellence in fire protection, including staffing, training, equipment, communications and water supply. It places the department among the top in the nation and may help lower property insurance costs for residents and businesses.
Notice to Insurance Agents
As of May 1, 2014, The Woodlands Township is officially reclassified as Public Protection Class 1, commonly referred to as ISO 1, according to the Insurance Services Office and the Texas Department of Insurance.
