The Woodlands Fire Department delivers premier fire protection and emergency response services with a fully staffed, all-career team. With an elite ISO Class 1 rating, eight fire stations, and highly trained personnel, the department upholds a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and community service across The Woodlands.

ISO 1 Rating

The Woodlands Fire Department holds an ISO Class 1 rating, the highest designation awarded by the Insurance Services Office. This elite rating reflects excellence in fire protection, including staffing, training, equipment, communications and water supply. It places the department among the top in the nation and may help lower property insurance costs for residents and businesses.

Emergency Preparedness

Be ready before emergencies happen. The Woodlands Township supports residents with preparedness tools, local resources, and events like ReadyWoodlands. Learn how to build a kit, make a plan, sign up for alerts, and work with neighbors to stay safe during natural or man-made disasters.

Retirement System Board of Trustees

The Fire Department Retirement System Board of Trustees meets monthly at 9 a.m. on the fourth Friday at Central Fire Station, with the exception of November and December when schedules adjust for the holidays.
